Script Draft

SCENE ONE: LAKES.

* Arrives at lakes and is running when she begins to here scary/freeky noises.*

Charlie: (questioning) "Hello?" 

*There is no answer so she continues to run. She sees a freaky scary character go behind a tree but she carries on running*

SCENE TWO: ARRIVING HOME 

*Charlie walks through the front door*

Charlie: (Shouts) "Mum Dad, I'm home." *walks into the kitchen to find her mum and dad* 

Sue: "Oh hi hun how was your run?" 

Charlie: "It was....strange." 

Andrew: "Were there many people about? see the usuals?"

Charlie: "No thats why it was so weird, normally there are a few people about, people walking the dogs or out with the kids but it was just me today"

Andrew: "well you can hardly blame them, after all it is November. People dont like to go out in the cold"

Charlie: "yeah but this time was different Dad. Something just doesnt feel right." 

Sue: "hunny I think you are just being paranoid. So what people decided not to go out today, no big deal"

Charlie: "..............But i did see someone. Or at least I think i did."

Sue: "what do you mean?"

Charlie: "well I was running and something just didnt feel right. I could hear noises and then I saw someone go behind a tree. One minuet they were there the next they had gone"

Andrew: (quickly) "What did they look like?!" 

Charlie: "I dont really know. I didnt see much"

*panicked/ suspicious silence* 

Sue: (optimistically) "I'm sure it was nothing"

SCENE THREE: STRANGE EVENTS

*Everything is normal for a bit but weather changes as Charlie is watching tv in her room when there is a power cut, scary noise/ loud bang*

Charlie: (shouts) "Dad whats happened to the power?"

*gets up to investigate/ go down stairs*
*Lights come back on*

Charlie: "Okaaayy maybe the power is fine"

*tree branch hits the window*

Charlie:  "Jeez what is going on with the weather today?" 

*goes to the window and can see a figure in the background*

Charlie: (gasps) (shouts)  "Dad!" 

*Runs out of the room to find the rest of the family downstairs"

SCENE FOUR: 

Andrew: "What is it? Whats Wrong?"

Charlie: (panicked) "The guy from the lake. He's out side"

Andrew: "What does he look like?" 

Charlie: ".....he.." *Ryan interrupts"

Ryan: "Has a Red Mask, Looks kind of like a devil. He never does anything, just watches and waits"

Charlie: "How did you know that?" 

*More noises*

Ryan: "I've seen him before. He watches us"

Andrew: (extremely agitated and panicking) "WHY DIDNT YOU TELL US?!?" *Turns to look out of the window*

*figure more predominantly seen*

Andrew: (fear) "He's here"

*Light out for a second and the figure has gone*

Sue: (confused) "Andy there is nobody there" 

*Andrew goes to the window but person has gone*.
 *Hear a smash sound*
*Goes silent, can hear footsteps*

Ryan: "whats that noise?" 

Charlie: "He's here"

*the sounds stop they think they are safe*

Sue: (unconvinced) "Dont be daft there is nobody here"

*Lights start to flicker, they look back at the window thinking the man is there again*
 *The door handle starts to open, door opens against the wall lights go out for last time*

Charlie: (scream)
