Hello there, I see you checking out my blog. It's okay you can stick around. This is where I will post notes and work related to my media studies. I hope to keep it updated because if i dont that probably means I'm failing. I decided to take media as I really enjoy what the subject has to offer and I believe media can lead to many different job oportunities.

Excellent use of terminology in your analysis, especially considering the depth within the image. Perhaps you could look at the symbolism behind the burning flag?
ReplyDeleteThe burning flag coincides with the burning White House and the words "fallen" if a country or group is running strong their flag or symbolism will be flying high or easily visible. The flag is clearly burning and is near the bottom of the poster, this could represent the attack/ defeat of not only The Whit House and “Olympus” but the whole of America. Your enemy will always try to weaken you and one debatable way of doing this is to take apart the thing that unites you all (the flag) by doing this it is thought that you are no longer able to fight and unite, almost like your chance and all hope has gone. However, the flag is not quite yet at the very bottom of the picture which makes you wonder, is there some fight still left in the American community, will they still unite as one strong nation?
